Cyberinfrastructure for NSF Large Facilities Workshop

December 1st, 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. & December 2nd, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2015
Westin Arlington Gateway, Arlington, VA

Overview

The goal of the workshop is to create a forum for direct interaction between the NSF large facilities and CI developer community – to explore evolving facility needs and approaches for CI, identify issues and solutions, exchange CI best practices and operational experience, and generate recommendations that can guide current and future NSF CI programs. We want the workshop to result in real improvements in our cyberinfrastructure environment and programs that will benefit you. Participants will be invited to develop a vision of the role of cyberinfrastructure in the operation of our facilities over the long (~ 10-year) term that addresses a broad spectrum of needs; and to identify some concrete actions that should be taken over the next several years to realize this vision.
