Joann Delenick, JHU Alumna, class of ‘73

This vacant original one room school named Rimmon Schoolhouse located in the town of Beacon Falls, Connecticut has recently been targeted by townspeople for relocation and restoration from its original site on Pinesbridge Road to a more central location within the town on Main Street. The building/school district is circa 1799-1830 and served as one of three district schools in the region until consolidation into a new successor school, Laurel LedgeElementary School, which was newly built by the town in the early 1950’s. Laurel Ledge Elementary School has been in operation continuously since then, subjected to the necessary additions, maintenance, updates, and renovations.
